Shaykh-ul-Hadith Hazrat Maulana Fazlehaq (DB) is a prominent spiritual reformer and respected scholar. He has received formal authorization from two renowned Shaykhs:

  • Qutub Britannia Hazrat Aqdas Maulana Ismaeel Wadee (RA)
  • Muhaddith al-Asr Shaykh-ul-Hadith Hazrat Maulana Yunus Jonpuri (RA)

Shaykh-ul-Hadith Maulana Fazlehaq Wadee Sahib (DB) has been teaching Bukhari Shareef for the past twenty-five years. His studies of Bukhari Shareef were under the guidance of two distinguished scholars:

Shaykh-ul-Hadith Hazrat Maulana Islamul Haq Sahib, a disciple of the grand Mufti of the Indian subcontinent, Mufti Kifayatullah Sahib, who studied under Shaykh-ul-Hind Hazrat Maulana Mahmood ul Hassan, the first student of Darul Uloom Deoband, and a disciple of Hazrat Maulana Qasim Nanotwi, the founder of Darul Uloom Deoband.

Shaykh-ul-Hadith Hazrat Maulana Yunus Sahib Jonpuri, who studied Bukhari Shareef under Shaykh-ul-Hadith Hazrat Maulana Muhammad Zakariya Khandalwi, the author of Awjazul Masaalik, a commentary on Muwatta al Imam Malik. His studies included Hazrat Maulana Yahya Sahib and Hazrat Maulana Khalil Ahmad Saharanpuri, author of Bazl al Majhood, a commentary on Abu Dawood, both of whom were students of Hazrat Maulana Rashid Ahmad Gangohi (Rahimahumullah Ajmaeen).

Hazrat Maulana Fazlehaq Sahib is also the founder of several major madrassas in England, including:

  • Abrar Academy/Darul Uloom Preston
  • Taqwa Institute (Oldham)
  • Madani Masjid (Accrington)

Muallima Umme Hamza

Mualima Umme Hamza is an instructor at Al-Kauthar. She is the daughter of Qari Rahullah, the imam of Bangladesh Muslim Center in Brooklyn for the past 30 years. Born in Pakistan and later moving to the U.S., she completed her primary education before traveling to Bangladesh to gain her Islamic education.

Mualima Umme Hamza furthered her knowledge in the Islamic sciences in the United Kingdom, where she graduated with a Master’s in Islamic Theology. With an in-depth understanding of Qur’ān, Tafsīr, Ḥadīth, Fiqh, and Arabic Linguistics, she taught Islamic sciences in England for over a year. She then moved to Abu Dhabi, teaching under the guidance of profound scholars for four years, and also conducted online classes for students from Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. Alongside her Islamic education, she completed her secondary education.

Upon returning to the U.S., Mualima Umme Hamza joined Darul Uloom New York, where she taught Islamic Jurisprudence, Tafseer, and Arabic for five years. She continues to serve her community as a dedicated teacher at Al-Kauthar.

 

Muallima Binte Abdul Hakim

Mualima Binte Abdul Hakim is an instructor at Al-Kauthar. Born and raised in Queens, NY, she pursued her primary education locally before traveling to the United Kingdom in search of sacred knowledge. By the age of thirteen, she had completed the memorization of the Noble Quran and subsequently began her formal Islamic studies.

For six consecutive years, Mualima Binte Abdul Hakim immersed herself in the Islamic sciences, acquiring in-depth knowledge in Qur’ān, Tafsīr, Ḥadīth, Fiqh, and Arabic Linguistics. She graduated with a Master’s in Islamic Theology and completed her secondary education alongside her Islamic studies. During her time in the U.K., she organized several Islamic conferences and charity events.

Upon returning to the U.S., Mualima Binte Abdul Hakim began teaching and spreading the deen across New York City. She has delivered numerous lectures at youth programs, high schools, and colleges. Furthering her studies in Quranic recitation, she received formal authorization from a senior teacher of Hadith and Qirat, a prized student of Qari Ahmadullah of Dabhel, India. Mualima Binte Abdul Hakim taught Quran, Seerah, Arabic grammar, and the principles of Quran and Hadith for four years at Darul Uloom New York. She continues her dedication to education at Al-Kauthar.

 

Muallima Binte Saiful Islam

Mualima Binte Saiful Islam is an instructor at Al-Kauthar. Born in Bangladesh, she moved to the U.S. at a young age, where she completed her primary education. She then enrolled in a six-year Islamic studies course that covered Hadith, Fiqh, Tafseer, and Arabic linguistics and morphology.

After graduating with a Master’s in Islamic Theology, Mualima Binte Saiful Islam pursued intensive studies in tajweed and Quranic recitation, receiving formal authorization from a senior teacher of Hadith and Qirat, a prized student of Qari Ahmadullah of Dabhel, India. She went on to teach Arabic, Hadith, and Quran at Darul Uloom New York for two years.

Mualima Binte Saiful Islam also received ijazah in Hadith and Quran and later embarked on the beautiful journey of memorizing the Quran, which she has now completed. She continues to share her knowledge and passion for Islamic education at Al-Kauthar.

 

Muallima Binte Idris

Muallima Binte Idris is a teacher of Fiqh and Arabic at Al-Kauthar. She also delivers lectures for the Muslim Youth and participates in seminaries. Muallima Binte Idris meticulously studied the full six-year Alima course at Darul Uloom New York, graduating with ijaazah in Hadeeth.

She discovered her passion for studying Islam at age 16, which led her to leave high school and pursue a deeper understanding of the Deen. Born and raised in New York City, she now enjoys working with children and is currently teaching young students about the life of the Prophet Mohammed sallallahu alayhi wassalam and Quran recitation.

 

Muallima Binte Sikandar

Mualima Binte Sikandar is a teacher of Hadith at Al-Kauthar. She is also involved in teaching young children the Quran and guiding them towards memorization.

Raised in the United States, Mualima Binte Sikandar developed a passion for learning the Quran at a young age, studying kitaabs under the guidance of her mother while completing her secondary education. During her junior year in high school, she decided to pursue a deeper understanding of Islam and enrolled at Darul Uloom New York for the intense Alima course. She studied diligently for six years, graduating among the top three in her class. Her dedication to the Quran led her to complete the Alima course and receive authorization in the sciences of Hadith, while also memorizing the entire Quran.

Muallima Binte Foyzul Islam

Muallima Binte Foyzul Islam is a full-time Hifz and Maktab teacher at Al-Kauthar. She is dedicated to guiding young students towards understanding the Quran and recognizing the fundamentals of Islam.

Born and raised in New York City, Muallima Binte Foyzul Islam memorized the Quran at the Astoria Islamic Center by the age of eleven. Driven by a desire for a deeper understanding of the Quran, she enrolled in the Alima course at Darul Uloom New York. Her compassion and commitment to knowledge grew year by year, and upon completing her course, she began motivating young children to learn and understand the Quran.

 

Muallima Bint Mohammed Alam

Born and raised in New York, Bint Mohammed Alam joined Darul Uloom New York in 2014, enrolling in the ‘Ālimiyyah program where she studied Arabic, Islamic Jurisprudence, Hadith, and Quran Tafsir. After graduating in 2020, she began teaching Fiqh, Hadith, Usool Hadith, Arabic, and more at Al-Kauthar Institute.

 

Mullima Bint Noor

Born and raised in Queens, Mullima bint Noor attended Islamic school through 8th grade before beginning her Alimah studies. She graduated from Darul Uloom New York (DUNY) in 2019. Since 2021, she has been teaching academics and Riyadhus Saliheen (Hadith) at Al-Kauthar. In addition to her teaching roles, she also serves as the institute's receptionist and secretary. 

 

Mualima bint Ashfaq

Born in Pakistan and raised in Queens, NY, Mualima Bint Ashfaq attended public school until 9th grade before pursuing Islamic studies. She graduated from Darul Uloom New York (DUNY) in 2019. Mualima bint Ashfaq teaches Qur’an, Hadith, and Seerah at Al-Kauthar. She has also taught part-time seminary courses and led weekend halaqas. Since 2021, she has been a full-time instructor at Al-Kauthar.

 

Muallima Binte Farooq

Mualima Binte Farooq is an instructor at Al-Kauthar. Born and raised in Queens, NY, she pursued her Islamic studies for three years at Al-Kauthar, graduating from Tarteel-al-Qur’an in 2024.

Currently, Mualima Binte Farooq teaches Naazirah and Edadiyah at Al-Kauthar while continuing her advanced studies in Bukhari and participating in Iftaa classes. Her dedication to the field is evident in her passion for spreading the Deen and her ongoing commitment to both teaching and learning.
